About Sri Viralimalai Sadhasiva Swamigal

Swami was born in a Tamil family living in Kashi. He lost his mother at a young age  and was under the care of his father . Since his father was also a great  ascetic , he preached and initiated the Swami in his last days. . Later Swami went to the Himalayas  and met many sages and got blessings and got Suvarna Siddhi after doing many Davayogas and then came to Tamil Nadu. At that time, he spent a long time penance in a small cave  at the foot of Viralimalai under Pudukottai principality  . Puja to the Swami is still held today

The identity of the Siddhas is their ability to find and realize many healing herbs and  remedies and thereby solve people’s incurable diseases and  intractable problems! Similarly, when the Swami  was in Viralimalai, he performed many rituals to cure the people there of diseases and to  remove the dangers  .  Through this, the people of the Pudukottai principality, who knew him as a Siddha , forced him to teach the art of alchemy  . He established a monastery and came from penance.During this period, a place was selected with Thiruvullam to build a temple there

As a wage to the laborers who are building the temple, he folds the vibhuti and  gives it to them to take home and take apart. If they go home and divide the Vibhuti, they will have money for their wages.

Knowing this, some greedy people kept pestering him to bring in a lot of material and money , he left there and went to Chidambaram and Thiruvidaimarudur temples and then stayed at Tirubhuvanam Arulmiku Kambakareswarar Temple (Sarabar Sthalam) for some time.

At that time , Swami is giving blessings to the people of this town by relieving their unending problems and giving them children. Balasundara Naidu and Krishnaswamy Naidu , who belong to the Naidu community from Thirubhuvana,  received blessings from the Swami and Krishnaswamy Naidu was blessed with a child.

They bought the land and built a monastery for the Swami and maintained it ..

Tavathiru Sundaresa Iyer has been appointed to serve the Swami  . They used to make Swami’s favorite snack , opluma and coffee every day without fail. Similarly, Arumukha Chettiar’s forefathers from Aduthurai, a town near Thiruphuvana, were devotees of Swami and served Swami. By Swami during his lifetime in this Chettiar category

Thanaletsumi Ammaiyar, who was given the name and ate Swami’s favorite uplumama from his own hands, is still living at the age of 91 at Chattaiappar South Road in Nagapattinam. He and  his brother are named  Thanaletsumi and Arumugam respectively .

They also served the Swami till the time of his samadhi .

This goddess Dhanalakshmi gives information about the origin of the Swami

We know what is said verbally. Goddess Thanalakshmi was present when the Swami attained samadhi. In his childhood, he witnessed from close quarters the event where his ancestors were laid to rest along with others  ..

Swami was well versed in various yogic systems. He is Navakanda

While sitting in yoga, the body is divided into nine parts

Once some local residents got scared  and went to Dhanalakshmi Ammaiyar’s house to say that someone had cut Swami into pieces. When she panicked and  went to the Mutt , Swami was sitting quietly meditating  .

Many local residents who lived at that time witnessed such an event

Present people say. A devotee told him that he was suffering from leprosy  and when the doctors  had given up on it as it was an incurable  disease  , the Swami gave him a medicated ointment and  told him to take two drops of milk in the morning and keep the medicine locked up  . The devotee accordingly took the medicine and locked it in the cupboard  and  kept the key safe with him. After consuming the medicine given by Swami  for 48 days,  the miracle of incurable disease  was completely cured. And miraculously the medicine was locked away

The iron key of the cupboard had turned into a golden key. the rest

Swami brought  the medicine and the key to Swami and I was completely cured. But to say that this iron key  has turned golden , Swami bought  the rest of the medicine and the key  and put it in the well that Swami had created by his penance power in the monastery.

Now the well water  is used by the devotees who come here as a cure for various diseases. They have also achieved results.

The medicinal use of well water is a wonder like no other. Also, Swami’s Moolasthan Gopuram is completely covered with copper and remains intact even after 100 years.
