This is a Shiva temple in Thingalur. This is also the temple dedicated to Soma (Moon). There is a place to sit and meditate. You can go into meditative states here effortlessly.
In this temple, darshan of both Shiva and Vishnu can be done from same mandapam at once. Shiva to the front, and Vishnu to the right.
This temple is also a mukti place of Appuddi Nayanar.

The Chandiranaar Temple (also called Kailasanathar temple or Thingalur temple) is a Hindu temple in the village of Thingalur, 33 kilometres (21 mi) from Kumbakonam on the Kumbakonam – Thiruvaiyaru road in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The presiding deity is Soma (moon). However, the main idol in the temple is that of Kailasanathar or Shiva. The temple is considered one of the nine Navagraha temples in Tamil Nadu.
