About Chamunda Shaktipeeth Shaktipeeth
Wherever a piece of Sati’s body fell on earth, that place became a Shakti Peeth. While there are many places in the country associated with Hinduism, there are 52 special places known as Shakti Peeths that hold great religious importance for devotees of the goddess. Two of these Shakti Peeths are located in Rajasthan. Both hands of Mata Sati fell on the Puruhuta mountain in Pushkar. The mountain trembled when the hands fell on it. Even today, that place exists on the Puruhuta mountain, but due to being quite inaccessible, the temple of Mata was established in the foothills of the Puruhuta mountain. This temple is known as the Chamunda Mata temple.
