This is a Gosainkunda Mahadev Temple at bank of Gosainkunda lake, which is said to be created by Shiva thrusting his trident into a mountain to extract water so that he could cool his burning throat after swallowing poison during Samudra Manthan.
You can sit and meditate around the lake. You can go into meditative states effortlessly here.
There are other three energy spaces around the lake. Gosainkunda Mahadev Temple, Trishul Dhara Shrine & Shiva linga on the western side of the lake.
How to get there
Gosainkunda can be reached with one and a half day trek from Dhunche, or trek from Helambu.

The Gosaikunda area has been delineated as a religious site. Hindu mythology attributes Gosaikunda as the abode of the Hindu deities Shiva and Gauri. The Hindu scriptures Bhagavata Purana, Vishnu Purana and the epics Ramayana and Mahabharata refer to Samudra manthan, which is directly related to the origin of Gosaikunda. Its waters are considered holy and of particular significance during the Gangadashahara and the Janai Purnima festivals when thousands of pilgrims from Nepal and India visit the area.[2]
